Chandravati Ramnarine - B. Sc. Psych, AYU

Click here to find out: What does Chandravati mean??

I’ve always been drawn to people, healing, and the deeper layers of life. From a young age, I knew I wanted to help. I came to learn it's called a saviour complex—maybe it started with my older brother who’s deaf. I became fluent in sign language at a very early age, but more than that, I became fascinated by the human senses, by how we experience life beyond words. That curiosity never left me—it just grew into a passion for the human psyche, culture, energy, and healing.

I travelled, lived abroad, and worked the corporate life for years, but something was always pulling me back to the body, the soul, and what it really means to feel whole. So I shifted paths and dove into the world of Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy, and Energy Medicine. I also hold a degree in Psychology, and my studies in Vedanta philosophy helped me reconnect with my roots in a way that felt both sacred and practical.

But the real training? That came through life.

Through motherhood—raising three incredible children.
Through grief—losing my father.
Through heartbreak—walking away from a 20-year relationship/marriage that no longer held me.

Through the raw, unfiltered experience of rebuilding myself while running a business and holding space for others. Ayurveda didn’t just become my work—it became my lifeline. But I get it. These ancient practices weren’t built for single moms, working women, or the non-stop pace of our modern lives.

That’s why I meet my clients where they are. We find balance together. We figure out what’s possible now, and build from there—with compassion, with clarity, and without the pressure to be perfect.

In 2019, I opened Skylit Ayurveda Center in Montreal, a sacred space where women can come to feel seen, held, and supported. I offer Ayurvedic consultations, energy healing, body therapies, hormonal support, soul coaching, and courses that weave it all together.

I'm also the founder of Skylit Ayurveda Academy—a learning sanctuary designed to support the next generation of wellness practitioners. Whether you're on a personal healing journey, looking to expand your current offerings, or feeling called toward a new path in holistic care, the Academy offers immersive courses in Ayurveda, Yoga, and integrative healing practices.

I believe that knowledge is one of the most powerful tools we have on the road to transformation.

This isn’t just my business—it’s my service. It’s how I carry the name I was given: Even in the dark, I believe healing is possible. And I’m here to walk that path with you.

A Glimpse into my life...

Personal Fun Facts

I have the number 44 tattooed on my wrist..

At age 44, my life flipped upside down. It now serves as a daily reminder of my peace, power and perseverance.

I’m happiest in a hoodie, barefoot, surrounded by trees and sun rays.

I’ve learned that silence is golden… unless you’re a mom — then it’s suspicious.

My happy place is sitting at my alter.

I believe my children's laughter can clear energy faster than sage.

My playlist is a wild mix of Sanskrit mantras, Taylor swift and Nitin Swahney.

I’ve lived in Australia for a year, so my heart belongs to the Oz.

I believe the end matters more than the begining.

No gym time in the morning makes for a very cranky Chandra.

I don't like chocolate.................JUST KIDDING, I'm OBSESSED with Mint Dark chocolates!

I'll take a forest retreat over a beach anyday. I dislike sand.

Helping others heal, in turn, helps heals me
