Smiling woman with long dark hair wearing a beige blazer.

Chandra (Wendy) Ramnarine - B. Sc. Psych, AYU

For three decades, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people through illness, healing, caregiving, grief, and life’s most profound transitions. My journey began in healthcare as a Certified Nurse’s Aide, caring for individuals in hospitals, long-term care, and palliative settings, where I witnessed firsthand both the fragility and extraordinary resilience of the human spirit. Those experiences continue to shape every aspect of my work today.

Over the years, my path expanded beyond conventional healthcare into psychology, Ayurveda, yoga therapy, trauma-informed care, restorative healing, and end-of-life support. Rather than seeing these disciplines as separate, I have spent my career weaving them together into one compassionate, integrated approach—one that honours the whole person: body, mind, emotions, spirit, and the unique story each individual carries.

For the past eight years, I have been the founder and director of Skylit Ayurveda Inc., where I have supported thousands of clients through private consultations and bodywork while developing professional training programs, retreats, workshops, and continuing education for healthcare professionals, wellness practitioners, caregivers, and organizations. Every client, every classroom, and every conversation has deepened my belief that healing begins when we feel truly seen, heard, and understood within our challenges instead of away from them.

Alongside my private practice, I am an Ayurvedic Instructor and Practitioner at Spa Holistique Institute of Montreal, where I have the privilege of training the next generation of practitioners in Ayurvedic healing modalities. Teaching has become a natural extension of my life’s work—sharing practical, evidence-informed wisdom that empowers others to care for themselves and those they serve with greater confidence, compassion, and presence.

As an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Certified Death Doula, I do not believe healing is about fixing people or promising a life free from suffering. Healing is about creating a safe, compassionate space where people can meet life’s challenges with greater awareness, courage, and peace. Whether someone is navigating chronic illness, hormonal changes, caregiving, grief, or preparing for the end of life, my role is simply to walk beside them with knowledge, presence, and deep respect for their individual journey.

The greatest lesson my work has taught me is that understanding and embracing death transforms the way we live. It reminds us of what truly matters, invites us to release what no longer serves us, and encourages us to embrace each day with greater intention, gratitude, and love. This philosophy is woven into everything I offer through Skylit Ayurveda.

My hope is that every person who crosses my path leaves feeling more connected to themselves, more at peace with where they are, and more empowered to move forward—whatever season of life they may be walking through.

With love,

Chandra
